Henry VIII

Henry VIII (28 June 1491 – 28 January 1547) was King of England from 21 April 1509 until his death. He was Lord, and later assumed the Kingship of Ireland.  Henry was the second monarch of the Tudor dynasty, succeeding his father, Henry VII.

2nd question: how would he be considered a revolutionary?

Henry has done much to strengthen the Anglican faith and to weaken the catholic control.

Quite a few kings tried to minimize the impact of Rome in England, the efforts didn't had any impact until the tenure of King Henry VIII in the 16th century. At the same time,  the Protestant Reformation started to spread , which were established new Christian denominations dismay of the Catholic Church. Henry's wife, Catherine of Argon , didn't produce Henry an heir, and Pope Clement VII refused to approve the request of the king's divorce. Following this, the king caused the parliament to legislate a series of laws which eliminated the power of the Pope in the Church of England. In the process, Henry established the Church of England to be an independent national church. After the death of Henry VIII, the Church of England published prayer books and statements of its principles..

Henry's reign will be remembered as a period of development in England in the political, economic, religious and cultural areas. Henry's rule was based largely on the acceptance and love of his people. He gave the English people a religion of it own, a  spirit and his terms of cultural, as well as the Bible in English translation. This has largely prevented from England the religious wars that divided the major countries on the continent during those years and brought unity and cooperation, they create the conditions for turning Britain into force decisive days Henry's successors rule. However, Henry's reign had many elements of tyranny and arbitrariness, and the number of executions of the public figures of his time will remain as a stain on the reign.

The world today is different because of Henry's actions.

Henry's actions were in the political, economic, religious and cultural areas.

Because of henry's work for the Britain people, the religion wars were fewer than what they should have been without his actions.
